'Why Reflexology?'

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing; by reducing stress in people’s lives can be key in optimising good health and building resilience. It is a touch therapy that is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body and reflexologists work these points and areas using their thumbs fingers or knuckles to apply pressure to these reflex points which brings a feeling of deep relaxation.

However reflexology is viewed, there can be no doubt that what it does provide is a period of time for relaxation where the client has one to one attention and supportive touch in an empathetic listening environment. Reflexology can be used safely alongside standard healthcare to promote better health.

How could you benefit from Reflexology?

People have Reflexology for many reasons and it's a very easy treatment to receive. as the most you will need to do is remove your shoes and socks. The general benefits of Reflexology include deep relaxation, release of tension, better quality sleep, mood improvement and the overall sense of improved physical and emotional wellbeing.

Why Reflexology?

  • Because it brings together the power of touch and relaxation.

  • It is the best hour of the month for me.

  • It feels like pressing a reset button.

  • It allows me to truly relax.

  • It helps my body to help itself, and feel great.

  • Reflexology feels like a massage with purpose.

  • Simply because it helps me better cope with life. Not to mention, feels utterly amazing and completely rebalances me.

  • Why not?

Did you know if you have health insurance or a wellness budget you may be able to claim for Reflexology and also Massage Treatments. The first step is to check your health insurance plan to see what it covers. Some may have specific criteria regarding the therapists qualifications.
